caught up with a fine geordie producer called RigAmortis to discuss
the weather and all things musical.




Q1-Hello Wayne, Hows tricks mate?

A1-Doing good my lad. Working hard and playing Harder.

Q2-For anyone that hasnt heard of you or what you play and produce try and sum up for us in 3 words your style.

A2-pfft... that wasnt a word by the way, My styles Vary so much.
1.Themed
2.Fun
3.Individual

Q3-You've played all over in places like Newcastle, Scotland and Holland but whats the best event youve played so far?

A3-I really liked playing at Rigormortis in Nottingham as that place has a vibe about it you rarely see for HARD HARD nights in the Uk, But i Loved the first HELL party at a quary in Edinburgh, Not only was it the first time i got to play my tracks out properly, I had an excellent weekend alltogether. Plus people gave me such good feedback i got a chance to play again. It also inspired me to move forward with my love of music

Q4-If Ukscene gave you £100,000 to put on your own event with the venue of your choice anywhere in the world where would it be and what would the line up be?

A4-Probably in the cheapest place i could find, heh.
Im not sure about the venues, i quite like the smaller places as they are more fun for the crowd.
As for line ups:

Q5-What one bit of production kit could you not live without and why?

A5-Id have to say my laptop now, as in the olden days it was heaving about a desktop PC and monitor
if i wanted to play anywhere, Software wise id stick with Soundclub and Cool Edit Pro, Its what i was brought up on.

Q6-Whats your worst weather? Mines the wind as its completely pointless and irritates the shite out of me,,

A6-I agree there!! Some times i wish you could touch it so i could smack it about and tell it to Fuck off!

Q7-I always get a mixed view when i ask this one but whats your honest
thoughts on the up and coming scene at the minute?

A7-Up and Coming Dj's are a plenty at the minute. Not necessarily good ones, but there is alot of hidden talent
that deserve bookings. Same with Producers, but you have to really work your ass off to keep up standard.
As for the scene a good friend of mine Sakkara came up with the term 'DIY core' as i think if you dont try
and make a scene yourself no one else will...

Q8-Your "Pacman" tune was featured on the first GGM Raw records and has went down really well at the harder parties, Have you any other tracks ready to be released on any other labels?

A8-I started making tracks for my on amusement in 1999 and have managed to keep all of them, So as it is i have a big pick n mix bag ready. I have got plans for a next release but its on the hush hush at the min.

Q9-Whos the hardest?
A-Skeletor from He-man
B-Mr T from A-Team

A9- Foo, you think sum Boney sukka comes close to Mr T? Grrrrr quit your crazy rap, im tired of your jibba jabba...

Q10-If you could pick one person to remix or make a track with who would it be and why?

A10-Hmm. Thats a hard one. If it was past, then maybe Stickhead/Jack Lucifer as a colab.
Now maybe Infared even tho ours styles are completley different. I wouldnt mind working with or Rmxing him.

Q11-Which one style of music do you hate?

A11-I have a very eclectic taste in music, i can go though 15 different CD's etc
in a day all being different types. but i gues RnB as the peeps that go to these nights are so fake
its all about what you look like. not about the music.

Q12-What do you like doing in your spare time besides making tracks?

A12-Anything, Socialising with people, hanging with my gal. Things that keep your brain stimulated I do like a good old game of countdown.

Q13-Are there any artists that youve looked up to in the past to steer you in
the direction youre heading in today musically?

A13-Loads. I tend to look at people i know who do allsorts of music and support them, which in turn inspires me,
I give respect to anyone who tries hard to do what they love.

Q14-I know you play on a laptop at a club but ill still ask,
Vinyl or cd,s ?

A14-Fuckin Vinyl all the way man! its so easy to get anything you want on MP3 but theres nothing like owning that sweaty plastic that you've always wanted since you were 16.

Q15-Where do you see yourself in five years time?

A15-Being a bit older? Hopefully still doing what i love. Going out meeting new people and having Fun! Thats what its all about, im not into big headded buisness i do what i do because i love it. WORD.

P.S. There seems to be alot of usage of the word 'love' in this, so just for reputations sake im gonna say Fuck, Cunt, Arse ya Bastards! There, thats a bit better. Cheers.
